Casting is perfect right across the board, the performances are all excellent too. Inventive production design and solid direction, let down only by a too complex plot. The tone of the movie is just about right - darkly funny. The sequel, "Addams Family Values", is better though.

For those of you who haven't seen the film, the plot goes like based-on-tv-series terrible. I saw this film at a drive-in, and I hung out at the concession stand for the better part of the movie talking to the cashier and trying not to watch what was unfolding behind me. It really is that bad. Skip it at all costs.
